Kirby Kelley 

On July 4, 2024, Kirby Kelley was honored at Denison’s July 4th Fireworks Show as a Local Legend for appreciation of decades of impact on the local music scene and teaching and mentoring countless aspiring musicians of all ages.  

Kirby, a slide guitar master, moved to Texas in 1992. He taught for the National Guitar Workshop in U.S., England, and Germany as well as at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He still enjoys teaching others. He is endorsed by Paul Reed Smith Guitars, was Inducted into the Texas Tornados in 2018, opened for Eric Clapton, and won Guitar Center King of the Blues in 2009. 

Kirby Kelley is the husband to Peg, Father to Sarah, and Pepe to Ella, Dash and Wilder.
