D-Day Denison: WWII Living History Weekend

Step back in time at D-Day Denison, a powerful and immersive WWII reenactment event held at the historic Frontier Village & Museum. Explore our authentic 19th-century cabins transformed into Allied and Axis headquarters, each brought to life by passionate reenactors portraying the soldiers, stories, and spirit of one of history’s most pivotal moments.

Living History Experience

Experience living history as reenactment groups such as the 45th Thunderbirds (additional units TBA) portray the bravery, hardship, and resilience of those who served. Walk through detailed scenes, hear firsthand accounts, and honor the courage of our WWII heroes.

Battle Reenactment Schedule

Saturday, Sept. 13 at 12:00 PM – Fields of Normandy

Sunday, Sept. 14 at 12:00 PM – Battle of St. Lo

Don’t miss the real Sherman tank, which will take part in Saturday’s battle — including the dramatic firing of a blank round!

Admission & Concessions

General Admission: $5 per person

Service Members: $3 with valid ID

Concessions: Available daily from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
