Join us on Saturday, October 11, 2025, for a memorable celebration of General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s 135th birthday—marking both his legacy and his historic 1946 return to Denison. Begin the day with the sunrise Brick Dedication Ceremony at 9:00 AM at the Eisenhower Monument along Hwy 75 at N. Loy Lake Road (exit 67), where a new commemorative brick will be unveiled to honor his enduring legacy.

From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site (609 S. Lamar Ave) will host limited free hourly tours, interactive crafts and activities, and a spirited performance by the Scott Middle School Band at 11:00 AM. This rustic Carpenter-Gothic home—where Ike was born—offers visitors a poignant look at his early life and patriotic roots.

Explore more of Denison’s heritage at the Perrin Air Force Base Museum (436 S. McCullum Ave) with its inspiring Wall of Honor exhibit, open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by a visit to the Red River Railroad Museum (124 W Main St), open 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, showcasing the railroad that shaped Eisenhower’s hometown.
