When is the event?
The City of Denison’s 39th Annual Fourth of July Spectacular Fireworks Celebration takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Munson Stadium & Forest Park.
What time does the event begin?
The event start time is 4:00 PM and activities take place throughout the evening. The music simulcast begins at 7:00 PM on KMKT 93.1 FM, and the fireworks show will begin at dusk – roughly 9:15 PM. The show is expected to end by 10:00 PM.
What’s happening before the fireworks?
There’s plenty of family fun before the show, including:
- Vendors and community partners along Touchdown Alley
- Inflatables and bounce houses in Forest Park
- The splash pad and playground for kids
- Great local restaurants offering dine-in and to-go options
Is there a music simulcast?
Yes! Tune your radio to KMKT 93.1 FM beginning at 7:00 PM to enjoy the official fireworks soundtrack.
Where can I watch the fireworks?
The fireworks can be viewed from Munson Stadium, Forest Park, Downtown Denison, and many surrounding areas. Find a safe place to park, bring your lawn chairs, and enjoy the show from your favorite viewing spot.
Field access at Munson Stadium is reserved for attendees with an official event wristband (event sponsors and DISD employees). All other attendees will be asked to remain in the stands or enjoy the festivities from Forest Park.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
- Lawn chairs or blankets for viewing outside the stadium
- Your radio tuned to KMKT 93.1 FM
- Friends and family ready to celebrate!
Are lawn chairs, coolers, or alcohol allowed inside Munson Stadium?
No. Per Denison ISD regulations, lawn chairs, alcohol, and coolers are not permitted inside Munson Stadium.
Is this a family-friendly event?
Absolutely! With inflatables, the splash pad, playground, local food, and one of the largest fireworks shows in the area, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Is this year’s fireworks show special?
Yes! In celebration of America250, this year’s Fourth of July Spectacular will be bigger and better than ever, continuing a 39-year Denison tradition.
